Do remember that the hard-wing version of the F-86E and F is in the pipeline.

This repaint represents the F-86E-10-NA Sabre 51-2824 flown by Captain James Robinson "Robbie" Risner of the 336th FIS, 4th FIW. Captain Risner was sent to Korea in May 1952, and was assigned to a photo reconnaissance outfit. He soon obtained a transfer to the 336th Fighter squadron based at Kimpo. Risner ended his tour with 8 victories, placing him 12th on the list of top scoring pilots in Korea. Based on the original textures by Jan Visser, this texture set requires the base F-86E package available from the SectionF8 homepage: http://www.sectionf8.com/.

Hoi Jan Kees,

I just talked to Rob Schleiffert on the phone. He said you were waiting for the Sabre repaint kit.

Don't you work with PSD files ??....

If you like i can send you clean bare-metal bmp's...

Let me know, Ok ?

Cheers,
Jan

Funnily enough, I've done nearly all my repaints with Illustrator according to the principle 'stick to what you know best', using layered PSD files. The only repaints I've done using Photoshop were the P-40's, I thought I'd try something new. That was also the first time ever I used Photoshop, so I am not unhappy with progress. It was still a layered file though, so I could use a lot of Illustrator tricks.
For this, I'd have to take another approach, learn new things in PS...but I'll get there, no worries, just takes a while.
Your bird is just too beautiful not to try and paint it, it's irresistable.
Did I say I really like the model? I even dusted off FS9 to try it.

is there anyway we could get the wire frames for the paint kit? The reason I ask is I'd like to try and create a paint kit of just that paint, a non-photoreal paintkit. Its hard to see where the parts begin and end.
