I loved this paint when I saw the real thing in Airliners.net. Just "had" to do it! To all my Norge simmers here at SOH. :ernae:

How bloody cool Morton! I flew in a PT-19 that was hangered at the Flying Circus Aerpdrome in Bealteton, Virginia. I posted some scanned slides long time past, must find the slid scans so I can do a repaint of it. very basic True Blue on Yellow paint though, only the black registration would vary it from any other US PT-19. Bout when I saw (and saved) six photos of the Norwegian rebuild at Airliners.net, I knew I just had to do this unique paint.

I notice the lower part of the landing gear struts is also painted, may have to amend that in my paint.

Thanks for the shots too, I saved them with the rest. :ernae:

Very nice indeed.....the old airfield next to where I go flying, is called Winkleigh in Devon and here the Norwegian school was based when it moved from Canada prior to returning to Norway at the end of the war. It will be nice to take the PT-19 up over the same virtual area.

I once had the chance to have a flight in a PT-19, but had the choice of either that or a Cessna Bird Dog. Am afrid to say the Cessna won!!

Best wishes,

Martin
