My old Logitech stick is now over 4 years old and is getting tired.

Do you guys have any recommendations? I don't want anything to fancy and does not cost the earth.

cheers.

Andy

I'm quite happy with my saitek x52, but maybe it's too expensive?

I have 3 computers with Keyboards, Accessories... Saitek and Logitech.
include 2 different joysticks Logitech + 2 joysticks (1 is gone) Throttle + Panel Control all Saitek

For Joysticks or FS equipment my recommendation is Saitek

I'll 3rd Saitek.

I like my X-52, never had a problem with it. I have the regular version not the "Pro" which will save some money if you go that route.

Looks great, but at any between £85 - £100 is a bit rich.

How about a Thrustmaster T.16000M Joystick?

I just bought the Saitek Cyborg X. I also have the X52 but with my new laptop, i wanted something portable. The Cyborg has a hat switch, 10 buttons, a twist handle and a dual throttle. It can also be uber-programmed with Saitek's SSD software. I think i paid $40 US or so. It's not ultra realistic but it's the best I found in a portable package.

I still like my CyborgX, but it is starting to look seriously substandard regarding build quality.

I'm currently on my second. The first started refusing to connect intermittently, then refusing to connect at all. I contacted the vendor, who was unsurprised - it was not an uncommon fault. The second, which I am still using, the end of one of the "head" mounted buttons (button 2 to be precise) has broken, not through misuse, resulting in it requiring me to press it in a very specific position to activate it.

I love the stick to use, but I'm less impressed with it than I'd like to be.

I just got an X-52 pro in a winter sale for £90, the throttle is a 10 out of 10, but the stick itself is about an 8 out of 10 in my book. The over-large finger guard keeps hitting a part of my PC desk, when I use it with the slide out keyboard area, which is best for height.

I really like my trusty old sidewinder II force feedback (with the forces disabled so it feels like a real stick without springs)

Probably can find one on amazon or ebay

Don't get the Saitek Aviator. I was really disappointed with mine.

Get this: http://www.amazon.com/T-flight-Hotas-Stick-PS3-Playstation-3/dp/B001CXYMFS

I've had it for about a week, it's top notch.

edit:It's made for the PS3, but it works perfectly on windows without any problems.

Saitek Cyborg X. I've had no trouble with it.

Well I like my AV8R, but then, as a proper lefty, there ain't too many options. Cyborgs are good but keep breaking. The AV8R is more robust for this ham-fisted lefty...
