Hey all,
Just trying to figure out what color this plane was (the Boeing XP-15). I'm thinking of doing a repaint of Thicko's excellent Nakajima Type 91 to look like this; other from the tail and other small differences the two planes look very much alike, especially when the XP-15 had a cowling fitted. I'm thinking it might have been red and white but what do I know? I'm color blind anyways:costumes:

For that era a more typical colour scheme would be a blue fuselage and yellow wings/empennage.

Check out this Boeing P-26 Peashooter: http://www.aviation-history.com/boeing/p26.html

It is not possible to determine colors from a black and white photo without adtional information such as type of film and any filtration. It was/is common to use yellow, green, orange or red filters with B&W film to enhance contrast etc.
