This has been in the works with several corporations, including a major hotel chain here in America.

As Rutan had prodicted, this could be what really launches mankind into space. Not government agencies, nor military, but free enterprize....

I actually take issue with what was said by their so called scientific expert.

"You can put anything into space, the really hard part is arriving there."

Actually the really hard part is returning in one piece.

I thought you just jumped and held your breath.

Well you can. But how are you going to "swim" back to air so the fireproof chute works? ;)

A good push off from your space station with your feet will get you heading in the right direction. And if you aim for an ocean then you don't need a parachute, surely?

But who's gonna spray you down for those "hot flashes"? You is SOL I'm afraid.

God bless them all, but you do remember the last Shuttle that came apart on reentry don't you?

Eerie and Scary? No more so then visiting Toledo, OH.

As for pricey, I figure many flight sim enthusiasts have close to that much wrapped up in their hobby.

Inter Galactic Hotel Chains?

Would that be one of the coolest thing?

See the sunset 16 times a day?

A three day accommodation is $4M..... :monkies:

If this will come to pass, it would be a great achievement.... :ernae:

ChaCha,

You need to get Hilton ready for the future..

Remember, Mars!!!

I really believe that civilians in space will make the space program work. I think lower prices will make it all happen faster.

What is this, going on about jumping out of a station? Do you jump out of a sky scraper? Do you jump into the ocean of a island resort?

<--- smack

I thought you just jumped and held your breath.

There is just that minor problem with skipping off the atmosphere and a little bit of heat build up on re-entry.

:173go1:

Remember, at ZERO Gravity, there is nothing to pull you back to the planet ... so ya just sorta become space junk.

Skipping off the atmosphere? Heat build up? Just use your magical mechanical morphing powers to change into something more appropriate after setting off.

Do I have to think of everything? :cost1:
