Hi.
This is design related, but looks like CFS2 unique.
So I post here.

I encounterd precition problem between VC and external model.
Plz look at pictures.

The first one is how it looks in the modeling software. (It looks completely same in GMAX.)
The second one is viewed from external view (zoomed in closely, with canpoy fully open.) Compiled perfectly.
The third one is how it looks in the VC mode. The cross-hair part (the ring and the crossing bars) looses it's detail.

I suppose this is due to the difference of precision allowed in VC mode and external mode, but not 100% sure.

Has anybody encounterd same problem?

FYI, I disabled warning for "Co-located vertices" in Makemdl. CLV warning is mostly related to "too close vertices".
This may be the reason of inconsistency of these models.
(That means I have to give up some detail in VC mode though...)

I'm not a modeler, but I would suggest that in the 3rd shot (in game), they are straight and lined up - but your sitting position (eye point of view?) is low and to the left...

If you want to use the sites, you'll have to raise your point of view up and to the right....

make sense ? good luck :jump:
