Here's an interesting pre-war pic, thought I'd share with y'all.
I won't play "what is this?" because you might be puzzled like I was until I did some searches. This is the (as in only one) Consolidated XPB2Y-1 Coronado, Bureau No.0453, at NAS Seattle in June 1939. Looks like some kind of media event taking place, maybe a VIP visit. :) Notice the early birdcage nose turret, looks like a Martin B-10. This was the prototype from which the production planes were redesigned with the much larger fuselage/hull and the B-24 type tail (which BTW wasn't the original tail on this plane). I like this design better than the chubby production version.
