I read good reviews. However, when I tried to find it at the local BlockBuster, they didn't have it.

I loved it, one of the best films of last year. I thought the whole "war is a drug" view point was really refreshing. And it had many pulse raising and brooding scenes, like the one where they get ambushed by snipers:monkies:. I bet Jeremy Brenner gets nominated for an Oscar.

For all the rave reviews this movie garnished I am still surprised it was a limited release. I hope it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray soon. I would like to see it. I thought they might do a wider re-release but haven't heard anything about it lately until this thread.

Saw it on DirectTV PPV Sunday, one of the best war movie genres ever made IMHO.

And while you're at it take along Generation Kill as well.

Best war-themed series/film I've ever seen.

Just finished watching it. My local Blockbuster did have it, and they had quite a few on the shelves available for rental. Reminded me very much of a friend of mine whose spec was demolitions.

I am watching the series again for the fourth time. I love that series. The book is just as good as the series.

Ray is one of favorite people in the series. Him and Brad signing as gets a laugh out of me.

Cheezy,

If you're talking about the same guy I think you are, did it seem to you that he was much more intimidated by going to the supermarket with Kate from Lost than he was disarming bombs?

Everyone,

This film is worth watching a second time with Director's Commentary on.

i felt bad for him that he got more out of disarming bombs then being a dad.
he was missing out, i thought.

Yeah... but I think it was the whole point of the film. That bomb disarming stuff was like a drug to him.

Private "Dawg" Mendoza was cool too.

I had the link to original articles in my bookmarks a while ago but deleted it in a clean-up orgy. I think it was straight on the Rolling Stone's homepage.

I love their "arguments".
"Ray...shut up." :d

And of course Captain America.
