Some time ago, I converted from FS 9 a nice Hawker Hart, in both RAF and SAAF training, but I can't fly them...:isadizzy:
I tried any sort of available airfiles, but as soon as you start rolling, the aircraft will zoom vertically and crash after a nice reverse loop.
I also got the same problem with other Hawker pre-WWII planes converted from FS 9
Who could explain me how to modify the airfile, so as to have a stable A/C, that will gently fly HORIZONTALLY!!!

Take a look in the AlphaOldies collection....if they are still downloadable, there are some pre-WW2 Hawker Biplanes....Hart, Fury, Nimrod...give those air/config files a try in your conversions.

Ted Cook did some pre-war Hawkers for FS9 as well. Although I don't know how well these convert to CFS2.

These ara precisely the ones that refuse to fly normally when converted.
I converted a good number of those planes (Audax trainer, Hart trainer...)
without problems thanks to MDLConverter, but I have been unable to fly them up to now.
I will try this evening Obio's solution with Alpha's airfiles.

I created special airfiles and DPs for them, but the models needs to be SCASMed... All of them has problems with elevators, rudders or airelons.

I would find the Hawker Fs2004 aircraft you are looking for.....

Then I would convert it myself with Hsu MDLc.............first convert to fs2002 then to cfs2 then fix animations.......

I would then fly it with the original fs2004 aircraft.cfg and airfile.........

don't add a dp yet......

If it still jumps all over ........

check the airfile with abacus flight dynamic editor.........or aired.....

find a dp that is not armed.........maybe the bomb/bullet/or topedo load you are using is incorrect and throws the the little plane off the deep end..

or.....

someone has been there and convert it to cfs2......

they will be helping you below..........in the next reply.....

However, if you are mixing fSX with Fs2004 and cfs2 ..........It probably won't work

I downloaded Ted Cooks - Hawker Hart

Converted with MDLc .............

It is all over the place...............

also........need to use Dxtbmp and then reduce to 256 colors to eliminate transparency....

....

But it has a 2004 airfile and aircraft.cfg........

It has been done here............but...........again........maybe just easier to fix yourself.......

Suggest

Airfile.......abacus............make it a tail dragger

Aired in moments of pitch, yaw, and roll to the airfile

I think that is one reason it is so squirrely

Aircraft.cfg..........get rid of all the 2004 gobbledy gook........and let airfile do the work......

Match airfile and aircraft.cfg moments.....

check station loads........

find a hellcat or wildcat aircraft.cfg to use as a guide and make work with the airfile for the hart........

Someone has done this.........I am sure..........double check resources........someone may come forward.......or already Private messaged you........if not.........strike out on your own........its a learning curve......

There are textures in resources......which you already know..........but would save you the DXTbmp work.......

Definitely work on the airfile................

eliminate the aircraft.cfg fs2004 flight dynamics...........

find a biplane that is close that has a good airfile...........

and let the airfile do the work.........

control sensitivities...fuel tanks.............VMO.......flight dynamics.......the entire list needs to be looked at........

otherwise.........find someone or addon that has been done......

Alierons work..........

I use mouse..........so don't know if elevator or rudder works.......

but I use autorudder anyway............with mouse

I thought this had come up before..............

I would get the airfile working correctly an get rid of excess ...non essential fs2004 stuff out of the aircraft.cfg.......

maybe rudders and elevators will work once the airfile takes over...............

but I doubt it............that could be why its so squirrely also??????

Flight of the phoenix..............they built a Hawker Hart out of spare C-82 parts..............

Something to browse...........have fun with it........so its not perfect.....
