It is not difficult to make a repaint for this model, but it extremely hard to find an nice Emil which has not yet been repainted!

There is a lot of contradicting information about the Bf109E prototypes. But teh D-IPGS was one of the 10 pre-production Emils which were used as flying test beds.

The D-IPGS was most likely the 4th aircraft from the pre-production series and as V16 the prototype for the E-3 series.

Cheers,
Huub

Jan Kees ,you should wonder how "civil" these planes actually were. Several of them of them, including this one, had full armament.......

Originally I had planned to do the prototype with the registration D-IRTT (don't you love that registration!), which was used for demonstrations, however I don't have a clue which colour it was painted.

Cheers,
Huub
