Actually thats a Kawasaki 1600 Classic. Myself i ride the Kawasaki Nomad 1600 in my avatar.Lots of folks mistake theses bikes for victorys because of the Kawasaki Vulcan logo.Another great money sucking hobby with all the addons :) My next bike will be a victory cross country but for now my nomad is all i want as its hauled my wife and i across north america a few times without problems.

Mike,...quick question: Is your Royal Enfield bike built in England,...or is it one that's being built in India?

imo, the nomad is probably the best bang-for-your-buck touring cruiser ever made, ever.

Has anyone else noticed that the foreign bike makers started making 'harley' style bikes in the 90's, and now the actual harleys look like even cheaper versions of the foreign imitations? It seems now the only cool looking bikes are foreign ones. The new harleys don't even look cool anymore.

no matter how you slice it, harley rides a wave of brand identification.
it is the major reason for their continued success. their core customer base detests any innovation, especially if it's visible. they have a penchant for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory when it comes to engineering.
the v-twin, no matter who makes it, is basically a glorified lawnmower engine. no where is this more apparent then the HD big twin. yet they are more expensive than any other v-twin on the market. many of the parts on the upscale models come right out of the generic parts bins. have a look at the 2010 softail, fatboy, wideglide, or the roadking. these bikes start at around $17k and go up from there. yet when you buy one they hang the turn signals from the handlebars as if someone forgot to design them on the bike. that's ok on an entry level sportster, but a $20,000 screamin eagle road king? they've been that way for decades, and that's just one example. they do have the best chrome finish in the industry though. and the best marketing dept on earth. they have that goin for them

It's a REAL Enfield...British not Indian. But...that's not my bike either. I just like the one-cylinder thumpers.
I'm still looking for a Royal Oilfield of my own...wouldn't mind a diesel like that pictured just for the WTH factor.
I'm bikeless right now. Had several Honda Twinstars back in high school and college, favorite one was a Hondamatic 360.
I'm trying to talk a co-worker out of a CB360 project bike he picked up this summer...since the Enfields aren't too common around here.

LOL! Those diesels need it!

(BTW, for those who don't see what Ickie's talking about. That's a propane bottle on the back rack...kinda like nitrous for diesels. :d)

Here's a very cool YouTube link that will playback the Official Royal Enfield Factory movie. Thank you Ickie for the official Royal Enfield link. I got a kick out of the 'enhanced' tire squealing sounds added to the test track piece at the very end. :icon_lol:
