It was another nice air show by the Visiting Nurses Association today
I don't think they had as many warbirds or jets flying this year but still it was a good show.
Sit back and enjoy the pictures.
The first few are for Willy

Sitting behind the aircraft was one of the members of the CAF Ghost Squadron. We had a nice chat about the paint scheme on this plane. This plane is painted in the same colors of one of their members who flew this same type of plane in WWII. In honor of him they painted this plane to match his. The invasion strips were added to make it stand out. They were not on the original aircraft.

This C-45 is in nice shape inside. Very original looking in the cockpit.

Next to the C-45 was a TBM
This is the first one I have every viewed in RL. I could not believe how large they look.

Next up is a Converted DC-3.
This DC-3 is owned by Missionary Flights International. Their Mission is to provide supplies to Missionaries in Haiti, Dominican Republic, and other locations in the Caribbean. They operate one converted DC-3 and two original DC-3 aircraft. They are based in Fort Pierce Florida.
I got the chance to talk to Richard Snook today the President of the operation. He is an exceptional man who is dedicated to his work and service.
You can read about them on their website http://missionaryflights.org/
Lets hope they continue to keep these old girls flying and in useful service.

Now here is a strange bird I don't ever think I have seen one like this before. Its an OV-1 Mohawk. Not the prettiest plane in the world but the pilot says its a joy to fly. I think if a guy had one it could grow on him
