Here's another one for those of you who enjoyed my Orofino X scenery - this one is not quite as detailed, being a dirt strip. But better than the default right? ;)

A small, dirt airstrip in western Montana, West Fork Lodge is a nice getaway for a $100 burger or cup of coffee.

The scenery was more of an experiment with object conditions and ground polygon layering. It includes photo-real terrain with seasonal variations, a detailed "lodge" which gains some snow in the winter, and a runway comprised of three ground polygons blended together to create a unique texture.

I see one link that you should remove. . .FSPlanet is a no no. They are basically off limits.

Nice job on the bush scenery. You and Falcon409 have made my day on bush strips! You gave a warning in your readme file about possible crashes with autogen set above normal. I thought I would let you know that I am running full right on almost all the settings and have not had one crash. I have a dual boot XP/Win7RC setup and neither OS has crashed with your scenery.

FSPlanet has a longstanding reputation as a pirate site. They get their addons (in almost all instances) by pulling them from other sites without the developers permission. . .in some cases removing the developers name from the readme and supplanting theirs to make it look like they are the owners of the addon.

Guys,

Cody is indeed right about this, I was reading through this thread where cody complained about his paints being posted without his permission and he got a bad deal from some young punkass mod over there.

Read all about it here:

Nice to see scenery from where I grew up. I haven't been up the West Fork of the Bitterroot for many years now. Nice to see the Lodge is still around and kicking. Thank you!

What are your system specs? (Processor, GPU, RAM)
I guess my computer just can't handle it - only have a 2.3 dual core processor, 256MB GPU, and 2 gigs RAM. And now I'm really jealous seeing the fog and autogen that my computer can't handle!

As for FS Planet, I didn't know about that. They did the same thing as Surclaro, downloaded it from Flightsim and uploaded it to their page. I haven't uploaded there before, only Flightsim and Avsim.

Also, I thought that having "Allow mirroring" checked gave other sites permission to host the file as well.

Anyway, enjoy the scenery.

I think that's correct, it's just when other sites (or individuals) ignore that if it isn't checked, lol. In general though, FSPlanet has been on the "bad boy" list for a very long time and they have never done anything (as far as I know) to change that reputation. It's just one that everyone avoids.
