Some weeks ago somebody published a link for a google-earth like page, showing a satellite image, I think from Portugal. I an unable to find the message now. Do anybody know which link I am talking about?

Hi JP. Yes, you can definitely get a G2K ready image out of Exploring Google Maps. But be careful. Thy don't always fit the mask/mesh srtm swbd images- and thus scenery that is built exclusively with the EGM images may not fit the mesh just right. But most of the time- with a little tweaking everything works fine.

And many time clouds obscure the details (grrrr). I've gotten where I use an Exploring Google maps image as an overlay to my exported Tatuk shp file image.

Yes but a high resolution in straight area is good for work on a existing airfield ,in the "investigation time" you can try to depicts the old traces under the modern airfield ,that need HR ,and finally it's good to work too on this background bmp in g2k and in fssc for the blended mask realize ,and any HR big bmp that increase the accuracy of the work is welcome:ernae: .
