You may want to think about changing your passwords ...

Problem here too recently, though it was caught early enough I think:

Got a message twice in an hour a few days ago when trying to check my email after already having signed in, to the effect of "Occasionally we ask you to sign back in". Looked legit, just llike Hotmail/MSN, though the second time it happened in an hour I at once changed my password again. Wishing there was something else that Qwest could provide at a decent, affordable price for me that does not include having to deal with MSN. Sucks.

Thanks, Snuffy.

You know, recently I've been receiving painfully obvious phony "phishing" emails (purporting to be from Paypal, or some bank or whatever) with suspicious attachments in my Hotmail account in larger amounts than usual.

So far, my junk folder trapped them all, and besides that I've seen nothing else out of the ordinary, but I can't help thinking this is linked. Just to be safe I changed my passcode.

This kind of thing really ticks me off, now even my own mailbox is a minefield...

Now they're saying Google (gmail) and Yahoo may have been compromised as well ...

In this case, you can't really say Hotmail, Google, etc. were compromised. The individual users were compromised by phishing schemes.
