The Alphasim Gripen has a stucked-afterburner problem with my FSX setup (Acceleration). It will engage when the throttle is pushed to the full but refuse to disengage until I pull back to less than 50%.

Unfortunately, yes! And the same is true of Alphasim's EFA too!

Is there a fix for that? I'm not sure they were intended
for Acceleration but it would be nice to get that fixed.

I have removed this line from my panel config:
gauge29=ALPHA_Gripen!autotoggle_AB, 0,0,10,10

Cannot remember if that does the trick but i dont have the problem you mention. :jump:

I can fix the sticking throttle problem, just remove the line stated above that controls the afterburner effect, and add the KO_F16_FX gauge, here >> 8683

Then add this to the panel.cfg,

[Vcockpit xx<--Next one in panel.cfg]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=32,32
visible=0
pixel_size=32,32
texture=$exhaust
gauge00=KO_F16_FX!F16_AB_THROGGLE, 0,0,1,1

= No more sticky throttles and no missing burner effects ever again!

Find the [TurbineEngineData] section of the "aircraft.cfg" file and add the
following line. It seems to work for the F-104. Might work here as well.

[TurbineEngineData]
afterburner_throttle_threshold = 0.00

I have the same problem with the Alpha Typhoon FSX, some of you have solved?

I followed the same procedures but without results...

Merida follow my guide, firstly you must remove the afterburner gauge from the panel.cfg I have forgotten what it is called, then apply the steps I have stated earlier!

I mentioned the image uploads by zsoltquack a while ago already. The images are too large by much for those with a slow to average connection or a low end computer. I already suggested back then to upload images much smaller in size.:rolleyes:

Too bad i was talking to the wind :sheep:, the images by zsoltquack are actually very good but a bit hard to enjoy!

As hschuit stated is is still payware from Virtavia. But there are a couple FS9 era freeware examples available by Kazunori Ito or Thinus Pretorius.

but on "URL removed" it is freeware

So that is most likely a case of piracy.....

Therefore I removed the link.

Cheers,

If it were freeware it would be on Virtavia's site.

I missed something. What is "URL removed"? A website somewhere or a status?

Whether it is still listed in a store or not, Alphasim/Virtavia products are never freeware unless listed and downloadable from their freeware page (http://www.virtavia.com/Freeware/index.php). And even then, things have been put up there accidentally and quickly removed.

As I read what I wrote I don't mean to sound like a hardass. Just because something is not available as payware somewhere doesn't mean it is now freeware. Especially Alphasim/Virtavia products and how they were developed at the time.

It was a link to a site that Huub removed. mirage3 mistakenly thought it was freeware on a site someplace. Contact Huub if you want to know where. I never saw the link.
