Outstanding work as always. Now to get familiar with the area using the default Hornet while waiting for the VRS Rhino FSX version release.

Jim, you created another masterpiece. :) I just flew out of Fallon NAS in a F-5 and after landing, I taxied and parked with the other F-5s. So cool!!

Thanks for another excellent military base.

Thanks for the kind words guys, and you're all so very welcome.

The second I hit "Upload," I immediatelyremembered a few things more I was going to do to the place...but didn't.

In that same vein, There were folks I left out of the intro that should have been there...Like I didn't even mention Fighter Composite Squadron 13, The Saints.. and they're huge players in the everyday training of fighter pilots.

And the third category (of which I'm most ashamed) is that Navy 81 (Deke) gave me most of the initial info on the ranges, or I would still be looking, and I forgot to thank him in the readme.

Enjoy!

Well, perhaps you can add them? Fallon is the base for Top Gun.

Going to fly one of the F/A-18 Aggressors out of Miramar enroute to Fallon. Kind of a virtual PCS of sorts. :jump:

Um, it is for FSX James.:isadizzy:Well maybe in his excitement Mr. Jim D. forgot to edit/change the title in his README.txt file which actually say "for FS9" and there is NO mention of FSX or did I download the wrong version? :kilroy:

Did you install it into FS9?

You're right, James. I pulled the readme from my last rendition which WAS for FS9. Didn notice that I failed to change that in the header, sorry. It is for FSX.

Many thanks, Jim! Absolutely brilliant work :applause:Very detailed and very good performance :jump:

BTW, for those who are experiencing flickering issues in FSX (DX9 mode), it helps to enhance the in-game AA via the nVidia driver (FSX in fullscreen mode).

Jim,
Another outstanding effort! I had the former Commandng Officer of VFA-83, Captain "Smiley" Mikeska over last night for a check flight - he was truly amazed at your work. The ranges, the ramps, everything. He also enjoyed a working TACAN which he flawlessly flew to mins to 31L.

Thanks for expanding everyone's flight sim experience!

Wow, great shots, guys. Michael, I especially like the cockpit view!

I can't wait until someone makes a mission and we can go blow stuff up on the ranges.

Thanks for the kind words all.

Thanks very much for sharing your work with us Jim. It is really top notch. I found the performance to be pretty good as well despite your dire predictions in the readme. Yes, some people do actually read the readme :icon_lol:. Although I did turn off the bgl lights as you mentioned also. I'm not a fan of those lights (I realise that is a limitation of FSX and not a reflection on your excellent skills as a scenery designer).

I was just wondering what the large U shaped net is for. Looks like a cricket practice net for giants :mixedsmi:.

Thanks for the kind words Anthony. I'm a real fan of your airports. The large net (I believe) is a driving range for golf. They may have a batting cage or two there as well.

Cheers!

Jim
