Can't wait for this in FS9!

Sept 10th

At last here are the first previews of the forthcoming Yak-52 ! These images show the FS9 model only. Both front and rear v-c cockpits are fully detailed in FS9. The FSX version will of course have both crew and 2048-pixel bump-mapped external textures. V-C pictures will follow in a few days.

Go back to sleep, you :d the C-17 is as much work as the real thing!

I do believe I feel a repaint coming on...

Haha! :ernae: funny stuff...and yes...the YAK is pretty cool, and FS9 compatible, too.

I love the Yak-52! I also like that Alphasim are putting their skills to civil aircraft as well.

I am curious how functional the VC will be, as well as whether or not they will incorporate the realview gauges or whatever they are called; I guess I am becoming a bit of a VC snob with all of the great recent offerings! Also gauge backlighting....and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong in my thinking that the 52 has lit gauges or just a shroud flood at the top of the panel..?

Perfect! Model looks great. I have been praying for an up-to-date Yak-52 since forever. If the VC is as good as the outside, I will gladly buy this.

I can't wait to place some paint on this, so many liveries to choose from!

I do hope the VC will be as good as the Long-Eze's, and a really good soundset will be included. These things do not sound like the average GA Cessna or Piper, but rather like a warbird!

Actually they sound a bit like a P-47 (from the outside). If that isn't spectacular already, the interior sound is even more thrilling, particularly in combination with the smell in the plane and, when taxiing, the "hiss" of the pneumatic system. Yes indeed, in August 2000 I had the great pleasure to be a passenger on board of a German-based Yak-52 (LY-FUN). Although in all 15 minutes flying time it was certainly one of the most memorable flights I was on ever, including a full programme of aerobatics. I enjoyed every second.

Cheers,
Maarten

Weird enough, this week a Yak-52 made an emergency landing in my village. There is a small strip in the dunes used by gliders. It was big enough for the Yak-52 :d

Cheers,
