I DON'T HAVE IT HOWEVER ITS VIEW IS LIKE THE PADLOCK VIEW. YOUR FIELD OF VIEW WOULD BE 360
DEGREES VS ONLY HAT SWITCH VIEW WHICH LEAVES YOU WITH " BLIND SPOTS ". A ONE ON ONE DOGFIGHT COULD BE A DISADVANTAGE FOR A PLAYER WITHOUT THE IR. HOWEVER IN A ALL OUT DOGFIGHT CAN'T SEE WERE IT WOULD HURT YOU. IN MISSIONS IT IS NICE. THOSE THAT FLY WITH IT
I HAVE SHOT DOWN WITH NO PROBLEMS. THATS JUST MY PERSONAL TAKE ON IT. :ernae:
MAYBE SOME OF THE OTHERS THAT HAVE IT CAN POST SOME MORE INFO ABOUT IT.

I don't use it but have flown against others that have Trak IR and they never had any advantage over me that I could ever tell...I will persoanlly stick with the ole reliable pad lock view....I'm so use to Pad Lock (7 or more years on it), not sure how a old dog like me could learn new tricks with the Trak IR....

Well

1) You have absolutely no way of knowing if a player has it or not. You can't regulate it so point is moot.

2) I fly regularly and have developed a decent amount of skill at this. Depending on the host, game or night I still get my _ss handed to me by a group of guys, a vast majority of which do not use trak ir. Am I going to worry about one or two guys having it? Nope I am going to worry about the ones who beat me that don't have it.

3) What's next. Do I have to report that the quality of my PC, Joystick, monitor might give me an advantage? Or perhaps LAT regulations?

Oh and I know of one guy that uses it regularly. I bet he is getting tired of hearing these accusations of having an advantage. To you sir every victory is hard fought and well deserved :wavey:

The tracker does not give that much of an advantage if any.
I have flown for a few years myself and know of 1 player that uses it all the time and in a one on one with him it goes either way, I win some he wins some. Like stated previously it is basicly padlock view on your headset or ball cap depending which one you have.
All in all it just increases your field of vision without using your key board buttons, or tophat.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Here's a soothing, remedial action you can take ,---- recommended to me by my Psychiatrist.

This really, really does work and will make you smile again.

1) Picture yourself lying on your tummy on a warm rock that hangs out over a crystal clear stream.

2) Picture yourself with both hands dangling in the cool running water.

3) Birds are sweetly singing in the cool Mountain air, no one knows your secret place.

4) You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called CFS3 on-Line.

Thought you might like to see a few pics. from this event. ( Only 7 miles from me ) Cracking Air Display with WW2 Warbirds, Display Teams and flying Motorcyclists. Good ground displays and events too. Held yesterday By Airbus Industries as a Families day and 40th. Anniversary of something I never found out.--lol.

Camera played up, so I missed shots of the Vulcan, which was performing stunning wing overs, however, my Brother-in-Law didn't, but one of the army parachute drop team missed the Arena and landed right behind me in the crowd, ( see pic. ) he came down real fast, swinging right around and found a small gap in the spectators, he hit the deck and skidded along right through a group of people ending up under this lady in the blue jacket, she was well surprised as she didn't see his arrival.
Nobody was hurt or knocked down, an excellent piece of parachute flying. I was going to shout a warning to everyone, but realised they would run and he would hit some one, so kept quiet. ( There we are,---- put that down to my CFS3 On-Line quick reaction Flight Training--lol) Maybe I saved somebody from bad injury, phew!! a close one indeed.

The parachutist did not want a pic. taken, so gathered up his gear and with smoke still --ON, ran behind a marquee.

The motor Cyclists Stunt Display team got themselves quite a few minutes of Air time,---- check out Pics. Brilliant!!.

Great Day out. Thats the Airbus Industries A-380 Demonstrator in last Pic. and did he throw that around, reminded me of Gus in the B26.--lol.

The band were playing the theme music from "The great Escape" Film when I took this picture and folks were looking at me like I was odd, jigging around to the music---lol. very atmospheric !!!

:kilroy:JYF, make sure have the TeamSpeak (TS) Clint program, and not the server.

When you have your TS on, and the screen is up, there are settings on the top bar.

Also, you may want to click on the computer's Start menu button in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. Look for Settings, then Control Panel.

Once in Control Panel, look for Sounds and Audio Devices. When you click on this, a small window will come up.

Look for the Audio tab and click on it.

Now look for Sound Playback and Sound Recording, then set each to your headset.

Now go to the Voice tab and do the same thing.

When you have done all of this. click Apply and then OK.

Click on sounds and audio devices again in Control Panel, and this time click the Volume tab. Click the Advanced button under device volume. You will see a number of vertical sliders. You will see a little check box under each slider that either say Mute all or Mute. Make sure that they are all un-checked. Then click Apply and OK again.

You may also have a Mute button on your headset cord. Check to see that that is not on.

Hopefully, this will have worked.:d

:kilroy:Heinzee, I just clicked on that link you put up there. It works just fine. Go to the Downloads tab on the bar at the top.

At the top of the Downloads page, you will find the section for Windows. This is what you want.

Go ahead and download TeamSpeak 2 Client and TeamSpeak 2 Server.

Don't worry about the two Updated Executables. I have never been able to install those.

You are probably going to have to uninstall the ones you have installed already, then re-install these two.

You will also probably have to find someone to help you open your router ports (port forwarding) if you can't do it.:d

Here we are Willy, the pic. I promised. Preserved AVro Vulcan Ex-RAF ( XH-558 ) Doing a Fly -past with gear going up, ( Very-very noisy ) at Airbus Industries open day last Saturday @ Broughton, Nth. Wales UK.

The crowds just gaped at this Beast, they were memerised.

Only one flying anywhere in the world. It cost about £2.5 Million to re build to flying status and the British CAA stipulated it must be an approved Company with ex-service ( Vulcan ) Engineers.

They have plenty of certificated spares and 8 engines, so providing the Vulcan Operating Company can raise the necessary £2 million per year to operate her, she should be good for a few years yet.

She is kept afloat by sponsorship, public Donations, sales and Display fees.
