Cazzie,......I noticed a few of them have green moss or something growing on their shells. Is that normal,....or a
different type of turtle from the rest? (Maybe bottom
feeders?)

Except for alligator snapping turtles, they are really interesting reptiles. I had terrapins (box turtles) as pets all my life, taught my sons how to keep and feed them.

Brad, those are eastern shore sea turtles, the green is algae, not moss and it is common.

Shame on you cheezy, skip a turtle, LOL! I imagine the little ones on the log would skip pretty good, be a trip for the turtle. :icon_lol:

Sometimes you don't want to lie in the sun, it's better to cover oneself with ground litter and chill out.

Will she give the kids rides Chacha? :icon_lol:

They all are long-lived if the can make it past infancy and youth. They are wonderful creatures, again except for the alligator snapping turtles, most are docile and gentle. We shoot snapping turtles here because they kill baby ducks one by one in the water. Make good turtle soup too jmig. :icon_lol:
