All of us here at the SOH forums are well aware that some nasty things
have happened right here and has had Ickies BP up and pulling his hair out,
but here in my local area also there has been a rash of 'puter' invasions.

I had one just bomb me out of nowhere while googling "wwII Hangar images". Had clicked the picture to get a closer view, then after I made
an exit back to desk-top, one of those "Anti-Virus" posers came up on
the screen. The programs background,(blue across the desk-top screen with
small white computer-code numbering) with a main-center text box.

It was allready scanning without my permission.(infecting files).
The logo is a yellow shield with black stripes and it has several trojans.

Only way I was able to recover was through the F8 screen,(you cant
get to anything on your desk-top because the program screen hides
everything except your icons.).

I've talked to several people at work this week that went through
similar episodes, and my coworker buddy said he did a "Firefox" update
and ended up getting a similar Anti-Virus, virus.

Getting downright paranoid of the internet anymore, and we all know
here we cant enjoy our flight-sims if our systems are sick and corrupted.

Dont know whats going on here latley, but watch your six and keep
all your gaurds up and on! Good Gaming and good luck!

I hate when that happens too. BTW, Everybody please be on the lookout for google and any images you click on because they hide numerous trojans and spyware. I don't trust the internet anymore either, which is why I stick to the SOH, Avhistory and Reg's for all my downloads. What I already have, I make do with it. Thanks for the heads up!

That one really aggravates me. Being a WWII History buff,I do alot
of image searching, and have used them for alot of different applications.
What really 'Bytes' is that with all the protection, nothing seems to shield
100%. Didnt even get a "red-flag" warning before this one.

I hate the thought, but I'm moving ever so closer to just going "MAC".
