I didn't really go for the Kingair, not one I'm very interested in, but I did download and install the Ultralight, flew it, then removed it. Nice enough design I guess, the exterior detail is minimal, but no VC or sounds and just a very basic 2D. I'll keep them bookmarked though and see how they do as they progress.

I like this aircraft, a much needed one in my FSX, especially the the RFDS livery.

Some screenies ....

Much more detailed model than the Ultralight. I may take a second look then.

Well if it is FSX native why not Transplant the FSX default 350 VC?

Jim, If you put a USN training paint on that one, it would probably look pretty good flying in and out of NAS Corpus Christi.

I know this aircraft does not have a vc, but since the 2d panel is aliased to the default Kingair, some folks I know are working on a VC mod at the moment.

Still a great addon with alot of potential!

I think this topic deserves a sticky - this Kingair 200 is a much needed FSX aircraft and is the icon of turbine GA twins. Great liveries come with the download as well as a paintkit.

Someone have the VC mod? Is there a chance of a posting it? Now I just need a CCG paint. Just need to find the markings.

I see no self-shadowing nor bump-mapping, so this is surely a port-over.
I can hardly imagine an FSX designer building a plane without a VC anyway, and even if it was the case, they would have aliased the VC to the default KingAir.

I'll stay with the default KingAir and the FS9 excellent port-over from AFG.

Investigation shows two mdl's in the model folder including a interior Mdl. I'll check out there forums. B200's home site and hanger http://www.isdt-israel.com/

I checked and found that the aircraft is not a portover.

I checked and found that the aircraft is not a portover.

Well, then the default King Air's VC can be easily attached to it.

Although I might have seen a post in which Max M. (ISDT's lead designer) asked about making VCs. So not all hope is lost...

I d/l'd this one last night and took a flight. It matches our Boeing King Air 300 pretty darn closely. I flew some recreations of our real world missions and they were almost spot on.

It's too bad about the VC though. Flying it with the 2D panel is a pain. You can't even see above it.

I hope they will come out with a VC for this plane since it's an important twin that needs representation in FSX.

The only problem is the engine paintwork doesn't match, and the viewpoint is a bit high. That can be sorted with a lick of paint and a quick edit in the aircraft.cfg

Nice RAF Paint, will be a pleasure to add her to the B200:icon29:. Thank you. Would I be able to presude you please for HMCA paint Req please. It seems the UK HMCA is a bit short in FSX representation in native FSX.

How do u put a vc in this and would the AFG B200 vc work or do u have to use the FSX B350 one? thanks.

I looked at a pic it's only the default king air cockpit but with proper dimensions so it fits the BE20 airframe...

I'll get it nonetheless - it's probably a better mod than my lazy 5 min mod hehe

While not very fancy, it does make this a viable bird to fly. I'd recommend jacking up the pixel size in the panel.cfg [Vcockpitxx] sections to: pixel_size=1024,1024

Makes for a more crisp gauge presentation.

I also messed with the lights, smoke and effects a bit.

Aircraft.cfg entries

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit
light.0 =3, 0.085000, -27.447000, 3.110000, fx_shockwave_navred_nl
light.1 =3, 0.085000, 27.447000, 3.110000, fx_shockwave_navgre_nl
light.2 =3, -30.497000, 0.000000, 11.191000, fx_shockwave_navwhi_nl
light.3 =2, 0.480000, -27.447000, 3.110000, fx_shockwave_strobe_nl,
light.4 =2, 0.480000, 27.447000, 3.110000, fx_shockwave_strobe_3_nl
light.5 =1, -26.607000, 0.000000, 11.893000, fx_shockwave_beaconb_nl
light.6 =1, -6.226000, 0.000000, -0.525000, fx_shockwave_beaconb_nl

light.16 = 5, 15.0, -0.3, -0.1, fx_Shockwave_landing_light
light.17 = 5, 15.0, 0.3, -0.1, fx_Shockwave_landing_light
light.18 = 6, 15.0, 0.0, -0.4, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_small

[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0= -11.00, -8.800, 0.500, fx_smoke_f6,
smoke.1= -11.00, 8.800, 0.500, fx_smoke_f6,

[EFFECTS]
wake=fx_wake
water=fx_spray
dirt=fx_tchdrt
concrete=fx_sparks
touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1
startup=fx_csmoke
windshield_rain_effect_available = 1

Lastly, I stuck in the default 350 camera definitions to add a bit nore variety.

Other than that:icon_lol: she's good to go.

Oh yeah, if you have any add-on skins, be sure to add the texture.cfg file(from any original folder) to the additional livery texture folders or it will look pretty crapppy in the VC view.

I guess I'll have to check out these addon's and mods. The Aeroworx B200 is one of the reasons I still have FS9 installed. Talk of an updated v3 for FSX seems to have ceased in 2009 and as no one has managed an issue free port over I'll take what I can get. Thanks for the HU.

A step in the right direction, though I probably will for now stick with the AFG B300 port-over which at least for me slightly wins inside and out.

I agree, so far the AFG B300 has the best virtual cockpit, really nice interior and exterior models, and actually models the pressurization system.

Hey Expat, those are not the default gauges on your AFG B300 panel. What gauges are you using for the attitude indicator and horizontal situation indicator?

They are from the Flight1 PC-12

Doesn't look too bad, eh?

IS anyone have fde issues with this 200?

It seems fine at first but after flying on A/P I disconnect and the thing is incredibly unstable. It wants to roll left and right...impossible to fly.

Looks pretty good actually! I have the Friendly Panels B350 and swapped in a bunch of gauges and radios into the AFG B300. The only problem I had was the FP attitude indicator had some sort of a conflict with the AFG autopilot and would crash FSX to the desktop. I went back to the ugly looking stock FSX B350 attitude indicator and all seems normal again.
