Found this thing lurking around a Russian naval base on the Caspian Sea. The "Ekranoplan". I think it's a neat design. Does anybody know if one exists for FS9 ??

i think that russia had some interesting technological approaches to some problems. the caspian sea monster being one of those. if they ever had a mind to use them, while they were current, they would have been extremely effective.

If you play one of the FSX's missions (called Tokyo executive or something) you get to chase one of those things in sea:monkies:

Yah- LUN class Ekranoplan. The AI FSX model is avalable as a piloted conversion at simviation. The Alpha LUN is nice, though its the SSM armed(SILEX? SUNBURN?) version, with a few repaints at AVSIM ( Hi-Vis JMSDF!). The A-90 Eaglet by Alpha(Free!) is very nice, swing nose and ramp. Just the thing for a Spetznatz raid. I miss not having one in FSX

Or if you want to own the real thing....

I always wonder when I go to look for this site if they are still going to be in business. It does say "1999-2009 ...10th Anniversary!", so I guess they are doing something these days.

We still really need the "KM" Ekranoplan. That was the biggest and most awesome.
