I gotta admit, when I 1st heard that RAZBAM was making a 102 I was interested but not excited. I love cold war era fighters but the 102 wouldnt make my top 10 favorites. His 102 has changed that.
After just a few mins of looking at his plane, the sleek lines & detailed pit I am captivated by this aircraft & find myself wanting to learn all I can about the 102.
Starting the engines brings a smile to your face. The throaty rumble bespeaks power & takes you back to a different age. When you advance the throttle to the AB detente you are greeted with a "pop" when the AB lights. IMO the best soundset yet for any RAZBAM release.
In the air it is agile & quick but will bite you if you horse it around. I dont know what a real 102 flies like but the RAZBAM version is very believable. This plane has quickly climbed to the top of my "1st to fly" list.
Then there is the mission version. The ability to fire missles with associated effects just adds to the "cool" factor. Mission developers will be able to exploit that version to great effect.
Here are a couple of shots from a scramble at Keflavik to meet some approaching Bear bombers.
