Jack, Vista will run CFS2 without any problems once you figure out "the rules."

There's nothing that prevents it.

Dell 1720 or 1721 properly configured. I have 1721 which comes with Vista, but I upgraded back to XP and have NO problems running CFS2 maxed out. The Dell 1721 will use all of the 1720 XP drivers. Get your Dell from Best Buy or WalMart instead of Dell, it will save you a bundle.

I would ask Rami that question. I got rid of Vista in favor of XP, so I do not remember all of the tweaks that you have to do with Vista.

One step is to go to Control Panel - User Acounts and turn User Account Control off

That's the biggest step to take.........it will save you so much grief.

I don't know if its Vista or my laptop. People here tell me its my laptop. Anyways, I have to keep the add-ons down to the bare necessities on the newer laptop. Specs:

HP Pavilion dv6700 Notebook PC
Product number: GP238AV
Intel Core2 Duo CPU T9300, 2.5GHz, L1 Cache 64 KB, L2 6,144
Installed memory 3.072 GB ; 1-2GB module + 1-1GB module
HD: 233 GB/ Free Space 168 GB
Windows Vista 6.0 SP 1 32-bit installed
BIOS F.45
Display adapter: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 1280x800 resolution
Drivers updated 9-13-08
HP Pavilion dv6700t CTO Entertainment Notebook PC

I have most of my installs on an older Dell desktop. It is an E510 or something like that with a single 3.4 ghz Pentium IV processor and 1 gig memory. It runs windows XP. There is nothing about CFS2 that this old desktop won't handle with ease.

Its probably impossible, but if anyone can tell me how to increase the laptop's capacity to run CFS2 add-ons I'd give them . . . well (not much to give) . . . I'd love them long time.

I run the same add-ons on my laptop as my desktop PC with no problems. It has to be in your configuration, because your laptop is definitely capable of maxing out CFS2.
