Things are getting exciting at Plum Island Airport. We had a Aeroca dragging a sign and dragged it through the trees. The plane bellied in about 20 feet up. He got crunched pretty good. I talked to the pilot yesterday so he got out O.K.
Then Tuesday a triple-tailed 1945 Bellanca, from Kittery, Maine, made a long glide on to the airport but forgot about his airspeed. He stalled about 12 foot up. Bent the prop, one landing gear and an aileron was bunged up pretty good. They worked on it all week and yesterday I took a picture of it while it waits O.K. from FAA. It's now for sale, completely restored Lionheart.

Oh man!!!

Thanks for the heads up.

What a time to be poor.. arrgh.

I wonder what he's asking for it, just so I could dream about it. (Which reminds me, I need to buy a lottery ticket).

I hear Hal (Hal9000) formerly with Aces is looking for a nice Bellanca, I think a 200 series taildragger, (I think the 240, not sure). He might be interested.

The girl doesnt look damaged too bad. One flap is down. I hope they get it flying.

I can only guess it scared him real bad and he decided to get rid of it. Sorry he stalled it in. I have done that in FS a few times and it freaks me out, even in a sim. Makes me think how fragile both life and flight are.
