Hey All,

Lets see who can figure out who this was...

I was;

- the first person in Britain to design and fly my own airplane
- the first to fly an airplane in Ireland
- interested and a participant in motorcycle and sports car races my whole life
- helped start the Ulster Tourist Trophy races in 1928
- helped plan a formula 1 car that achieved some success with Stirling Moss as the driver
- most famous for my contribution to agriculture
- fortunate enough to have partnered with Henry Ford

That's not strictly a fair comment...while Al did help things along in the agricultural sector, that's NOT what he was most famous for :crybaby:

In fact, the last front-engined Formula 1 car to compete in a World Championship Grand Prix, running under the 1.5 litre regulations in Rob Walker colours, then re-engined with a 2.5 litre Climax and run in the Tasman Cup with Graham Hill driving.
Shame those bloody wings came along and relegated 4WD.
