Hi !

I´m in need for some help.

I edit the nav lights on a Kawanishi N1K1-J Shiden (George 11) by Yasuhiku

Sasaki.

but the nav lights colours on the wings is reverse and they glowing in the

dark, so don´t

help mutch to change to the right colours.

Well - the plane is made for CFS 2 but fly ok in FS2004, and have a ok vcockpit.

In the .cfg file there is a lights section. The lights will be labled something like navred and navgreen in the appropriate string. Just swap the portion that identifies the effect, navred or navgreen.

Well - the aircraft in queston "Kawanishi N1K1-J Shiden" is made for CFS 2

by the author. The only lights , is for vclight. The CFS 2 sim have no

nav lights on the planes.

But I´m use som of the aircrafts for CFS 2 in FS2004 and in most cases ok.

And I like to edit lights on them. so I can fly on nights.

The problem for the N1K1-J Shiden, is the author have render the nav light

colour I think in the MDL file and do it reverse on the wing, so it have nothing

to do with the light section in the aircraft cfg file.

That is correct DennyBoy. The only hope may be to add a Lights section in the aircraft.cfg and overlay/override possibly the modeled lights.

Instead of using the stand fx_navred and fx_navgre, use the larger size fx_navredh and fx_navgreh effects.

These effects may be larger enough to override the modeled-in effects.

Another possible option is to use Martin Wright's MDLcolor or MDLmaterial and change the color of the modeled on lights. Depending on how many materials are listed for the model, it could take some time to find the right two materials...but since they will be red and green, that will give you some help in finding the right ones.

Oh, heck, where can I find the plane? I will see what I can do to get the lights reversed.
