Wonderful photos, considering their age. The Germans knew very well how to make films. Would you please let us know the address of the Russian site?

Ciao Sony ...

Believe it or not, I found these on fishki.net.......not your usual source for aviation photos. The series starts with a picture of a Storch and there are a total of 48 with some nice aerial shots.
I just posted the Fw pics for the modelers at SOH.

Hi Luckydog. After a quick look at fishki.net I PERFECTLY understand what you meant. Very unusual source, actually. I'm wondering if the filter on this forum would let me write about the things I saw there and the thoughts I had...ehm. Gonna get a cold shower now. From Flight Simulator to F..K Stimulator...

William Dickens (aka Bismarck13) has a FW189 over on simviation.com that works wonderfully in FS2004. Very neat plane.

Those are awesome planes. I had a model of one when I was younger. Very wild design. Similar to the Dutch twin engine that Huub is working with, pointed tail end on the center Gondola, twin nacelles running fully to the rear.

Thanks for posting those photos! All saved..

A FW189 was recovered from somewhere in Russia some time ago and is being restored, I believe, to flying condition. When I have some free time I will look for the article recording the restoration program. It will make a stunning addition to the flying displays.

Q: What's the little pre-propeller (rat?) for?

It automatically adjusted the pitch of the propeller; not sure how.
