The biggest problem Porsche faced was their 'Not Invented Here' mind set.
I like one of the 'Expert' comments, Porsche were crap (to paraphrase the note) 'before the 917'.
Almost unbeatable in the 2 Litre and below class at Le Mans, Sebring, Nurburg 1000, Carrera Pan Americana as well as winning the Targa Florio outright!
Dipsticks should just STFU.
