This has definitely more depth to what's going on with the changes being made, and why.

Rick Hendrick will try two, maybe three new crew chiefs for Dale, but if Dale doesn't start winning or at least being consistent in the top 10, then I expect Dale will be looking for a new ride. You don't drive for Hendrick Motorsports and lose races for very long, he's in this sport to win.

Rick pulled a coup in getting Junior from DEI, Senior DE has to be rolling in his grave.

Junior "is" the problem, boy parties too much and does not know how to take care of his equipment nor does he have the ability to communicate his problems to "any" crew chief" vis-a-vis Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus. Most all of the really good drivers can tell a crew chief exactly what a car is doing, Junior cannot, just lose or tight, that's it for him.

Eury jr is just a scapegoat for Jr's lack of talent

Jr. is in a tough situation now....He's fighting to not end up with careers like Kyle Petty & Michael Waltrip....Famous with the fans but not famous in the record books....:kilroy:

We'll see how he performs in the next few races.

Twelfth place finish, not bad and a lot better than a lot of his finishes this year. We'll see how the rest of his season progresses.

Well to be fair, Kyle Petty was a decent driver, but kept racing way to long past his prime. Jr just never shows the talent that other drivers have. He is a good driver, but he gets really "stale", if that makes sense. You can't get too comfortable, Or else you just start riding like half the field does.

Since we’re being fair, Dale Jr. hasn’t been driving nearly as long as Kyle Petty, but Dale has more than twice as many wins as Petty. I don’t have a “dog in this hunt”, more or less, not being a “fan” of any particular driver, but I’m inclined to cut Dale Jr. a little bit of a break. He isn’t his Dad, but people, the media and his fans, insist that he should be, and expect him to do as well. Lots of drivers have had much less success than he has to this point. Now being part of what is (arguably) the best team in the business, one would think he’d be doing better. But don’t forget, at the beginning of the season, he was doing as well as the rest of his teammates.

It was definitely good seeing Jr. running in the top 5 for a while...:jump:
