Its amazing how much detail goes into some products -and horrifing in some cases how little!

I dont spend a lot of time looking at the undercarriage - especially retractable - but noticed how much detail there is on the Flight 1 Mustang.

Do you think this could be the most detailed?

I was looking at this a few week ago too, admiring the work that went into just the landing gear alone. I would say it is one of the best looking retractable gears made for the sim. I love all the lines and shocks. But again this whole product is top notch.

Its amazing how much work we put into things that for the most part, go completely un-seen. It takes a passion for what your doing to do that, since 90% of the market does not care.

this is true on 90% of the market not careing i about the same time A2A was just getting the 377 going i had the idea of making the arcraft more realistic humm not sure what to say i must have said something to the right person or the peeps over at A2A were on the same page i was at that time and got Accusim going :) heance thank god for the other 10% who ask for this stuff and the few devlopers who care about it.

That landing gear looks brilliant! Goodness... Every single brake line fitting and decal is in place, and subtle shading included.

Simply amazing. Must be for the real pilots that checkout every aspect of the plane before flying. Would it not be interesting for those who use fsx with failures to have some external failures to show, like leaking brake lines before a flight is taken?

the problem with most of the market isnt caring. it's the polys.. more detail = more polys; more polys = more memory; more memory = lower frame rates; lower frame rates = more people complaining.. But no ones ever happy...
glad i just do numbers..

Flightsimmers especially seem to complain about every little thing...no matter how good the product is, kudos off to those developers who can stomach it without throwing up their hands in surrender :isadizzy:

I am for all the detail the modelers care to put in to their works - even if I dont get great FPS in them today, I will eventually - that part is up to me...and when I can upgrade my rig, there will be exquisite models already available - no waiting.

I bought the PBY Cat not because I thought I would get glassy FPS with it - but because of that incredible cockpit and the texturing. The fact that I can hop around the Cook Islands in it with a 17-22 average is icing on the cake for me.

I love the little extras that the modelers have provided so far - and if I want smooth frame rates I have a few planes that give me that.

Here is a better shot of the gear.

Can you tell that the same people built both? :applause:

Are there any other very sexy, detailed holes?

The Aerosoft F-16 Falcon has nice set of gear too. Also what is the Alaska scenery above with the PC-12.

Sorry. I had to throw my own bird into the mix. Also, lets not forget OTHER area's deserving of great detail.
