My FTP Client is Ipswitch WS_FTP Professional. I liked it so much at work I bought it for myself. At work I use it to back up a phone system. With this client I can use Windows Task Scheduler to back up at any time of the day.

I have two 146 GB hard drives I have been planning on placing in my server but I have no idea how much room we need.

Dave
that shows 1.5 mbps.
I have a 8-10 meg line and it takes 2-3 days to download SOH.
I really need someone with a 50 meg line, lol
than they won't go crazy downloading every month.

a 50 meg line would download SOH while they sleep at night. (8 hours)
a 20 meg line it would take about 24 hours.

I have a 10 GBPS line at my studio, and a 4 GBPS line at my company. Will do a test tomorrow to see if it's fast reaching the US (i'm in singapore). Where is the physical location of the SOH servers?

Wish I could help out Ickie. But with Comacast, it would take me a month. And yes I spelt their name correctly. ;) They keep saying their broadband speeds are way up there now, but not from what I can see..... It's all lies I tell ya, lies.

yup, i will try as soon as i get to work. Time is reversed here...your day time is my night :)

locally, both the 4g and 10g lines are fast as heck (they better be for the price i pay monthly for them!), but sometimes they are super slow when connecting to certain servers in the US... so only a test will tell....

There is a 1 in front of that 22,334 (total 122MBS)

I also just ordered 2x1 TB hard drives for my coputer, so I'll have plenty of space.

yeah, Jcagle is getting better download rate than me. Singapore's connection to the US servers are very slow...i only get about 15,000 kbps hitting the Seattle and SF servers. It's only fast when i stay inside the Europe/Middle East/Asia servers

You got that right Dave. And thy're getting worse every day.

You know guys, the test will be higher than your actual download speed. At least it's that way with mine on Comcast. I'd show you but I don't want to embarrass myself.
