Well I did it, I went out and bought it right after it came out for the 360! For the most part I am happy with it, they included a skirmish mode in this version which was something that was missing from Midway, so its kind of fun going up against different ships.

The game includes air and sea combat, I bought it mainly for the sea stuff. It also includes day and night operations when at sea, one of the combat missions actually takes place in the middle of a thunder storm which I thought was kind of fun..

For us single player guys, I have some gripes.. The first was a simple skirmish mission, battleships against battleships.. My fleet turned into itself all of my escorts sunk leaving me to fight it out with 4 other Japanese Battleships.. I didn't win! They do not do this in the campaign though and didn't have this problem when I switched to cruisers or destroyers.

The sound is better in this game than in Midway and the Campaign missions are much more involved, planning and such, than in the original.

I will try and get some pics later on, but I thought I would share!

I played the demo for Xbox 360, and I had mixed feelings over it... Nothing was horrible I just wasn't impressed with any particular aspect of it. Good concept though!

I think I just wanted the concept.. If I had it to do over again, I probably would have waited until it dropped in price some.

I think it would be more fun if you played a lesser role in the overall battle. i.e. controlling 1 turret instead of directing the fire of all 10, or a more sim-like pilot experience including realistic carrier takeoffs and landings. It would be cool to be able to choose specific tasks in the overall mission rather than being a godlike figure who controls all thirty ships in the fleet along with hundreds of aircraft at the same time...
