I created a XML and compiled it into a BGL now I have lost the original XML file and need to make changes to the scenery.

Is there a utility that can decompile BGL files? All it contains is a carrier, wake effect, and some Vor/ADF informaiton.

I use bglanlyz (http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=0&fname=bglanlyz.zip) on the rare occasions that I need to see the XML source. It contains two decompilers - one for each of the two latest Sims. The easiest way to sue it is to just drag a bgl onto the exe's icon and if it can be decompiled into XML, the output will be in the same folder as the source file. (You don't have to keep moving files around.)

I just got a "failed to initialize" error on the GUI app.
