I'm pretty satisfied with how FSX renders the world (with help from ORBX!) but it does need some nicer clouds to get the realism up.

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced or free cloud improvement? I don't want to pay £20 (more than I paid for FSX and Acceleration together) for some textures!

There are replacement cloud textures available at avsim - when they're back up.
The quality is phenominal. A definite 'must-have'.

You can also raid the FS9 section on Avsim or Flightsim. The cloud textures from the old sim work without a hitch.

Any idea who they're by? I'd be interested in checking out any free ones.

I think they're the ones made by Aimé Leclerq. At least that's the only replacement cloud pack I know of.
