L-159A 'ALCA' advanced light combat aircraft finally made it to FsX. Converted using FsX SDK.
I just uploaded it to my website (http://speed99.webhosting.klfree.net/class/witex/endownload.html) (well it's a little webspace on a tiny website to be more precise :) )
As always, bug reports welcome. :173go1:
Cheers,
Vitek

oups-my bad forgot to include the file I guess...
I will reupload fixed file, and the gauge separately so you can fix it too.
Edit: here is the missing gauge (http://speed99.webhosting.klfree.net/class/witex/F16.gau). it will take some time before it appears in the upload...

hehe I didn't even know the HUD worked! THanks for the gauge!

And nope, those are DX9 shots using FEX weather :wiggle:

Do you by chance know how to tune the course, say I want to tune another ILS course into the HSI?

For ILS, bring up the radio stack (either by keyboard shortcut, or using the glass display-Autopilot page=>vor to vor and clicking on the radio tower icon)
Using the radio, tune NAV1 or NAV2 frequency. Go to Nav page in any of the two displays and set the right course...[edit: by clicking on the CRS buttons on the left rim of the display, it doesn't do it automaticaly] There is a button on the bottom of mfd that lets you switch between NAV1 and NAV2...

The two displays can display any page independetly, so make sure you're not flying with "menu" in both:wavey:

Add my name to the appreciative list as well. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/images/icons/icon7.gif Not to quibble but I have a blank hole the upper left corner of my VC panel (Win XP-Acceleration) - what is supposed to go in there? (There is not a corresponding missing gauge in the 2D panel.)http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/images/icons/icon5.gif

A screenshot would be great. The VC should look something like in this screen. The dark gauge in the upperleft corner is a passive warning radiolocator- it indicates type and number of radars around.

I was really impressed by this plane, made by a very young man (compared to me). The external model, textures and bump maps are very nice. On close inspection the skin of the plane is not very smooth but has a slight bumpiness to it. Probably that is not realistic since it would slow the plane, but visually it is interesting. The recommended sound file is a big improvement over the lear sound.cfg in the download. Still learning to use the nav screens. Wish the HUD was higher res since it is almost inpossible to read the airspeed and altitude.

A great addition for those that like freebees.

I admire your hard work on the gauges, Vitek. Damn good freeware package. And finally something from Central Europe :)

This is a blast to fly but one little pet peeve I noticed is the gauges in the VC are a bit higher off the panel so when I change my view, the gauges slightly float around relative to the background textures.

Thanks for the conversion. Gonna give it a try tomorrow. :)
