Yup Dave did the fantastic ones for FS9 and they have been fully reworked for FSX (i.e. true FSX models) and very good they are too. I have had them for over a week now (perks of being a member over at CBFS) and have had a lot of fun in them.

If anyone is interested I have added the A2A 3D lights to Dave's Hunters and the aircraft config file data is below. Simply copy and paste the data to replace the stock items but take care to ensure you are using the correct data on the correct model as there are three different lighting versions.

F1-F4, F6, F58, FAA and FGA9 Models
[lights]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing

light.0 = 3, -6.87, -15.43, -0.38, fx_shockwave_navred //fx_navred_DG
light.1 = 3, -6.87, 15.43, -0.38, fx_shockwave_navgre //fx_navgre_DG
light.2 = 7, -25.28, 0.125, 3.37, fx_shockwave_navwhi //fx_navwhi_DG
light.3 = 5, -2.50, 0.28, -2.45, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_old

F3 Model
[lights]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing

light.0 = 3, -6.87, -15.43, -0.38, fx_shockwave_navred //fx_navred_DG

light.3 = 9, -22.9, 0.0, 0.0, fx_afterburner_f3,
light.4 = 5, -2.50, 0.28, -2.45, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_old

Prototype Model

I happily invest in payware, lots of it so far, and will continue to support payware developers, but make no mistake - this free Hunter is up there with some of the best payware. The motive for doing it can only be that it's a complete labour of love. I hope that everyone who tries it is moved to donate something so we can get more jewels like this in the months & years to come.

The Classic British Files .com site is probably one of the best sources of British Freeware and others in the net.....Many of the FS9 planes there work very well in FSX and some, like the Hunter, are unique.....I have been a member there only a few months and love the place......:ernae:

Thanks Henry for the HU and Dave for the plane. I couldn't wait to get Dave's Hunter back in FS9 when I built my new computer, so that I could fly it for once at real time with no stutters.

Who'd have thought that I would be flying a better DaveG Hunnter in FSX at better fps? I just cannot believe it!

Flew from Barkston-Heath to Texel Island this morning. Sweetness, landed that bugger on Texel's little grass strip! Met an outgoing tube on the way.

As far as jets go, the Hawker Hunter is a ten, there is no way to look at it that isn't pleasing.

You are quite welcome Lief. You can take them from here, my Photobucket site or I can send you larger screens via email (1900 X 1280) to you mate, just send me a PM with your email addy.

This in the least should be payware, it is as high a quality as most current FSX payware.

I have lifted the first two from here, They reproduce beautifully.
I was gobsmacked when I first saw Dave's Hunter for FS9 , now FSX! - this
as you say is way beyond the quality of pay-ware, its an act of love,
and I can say without fear of contradiction that this will make the
list of top ten models for 2009. I'm just looking forward to one of the
two dozen folks who have downloaded the paint kit producing some
quality skins for it.

BTW how do you wish to be credited? Caz ? Cazzie? or a Hunter Lover?

Must try, if I can set her down in that pasture on Texel, I should be able to snag a wire.

But not now! Uh-Uh! Been to "Racin' 'n' Tastin'" At the Community Market in Danville. A little to inebriated for that now. Haven't drank but two ales (but they were good ales), I just can't even handle my beers anymore. Woe is me! Out of practice is what it is! :weightlifter::ernae:

A great big thanks again to Dave Garwood for this superb piece of freeware. And the 2048x2048 paint kit is brilliant too - so easy to use. Here's a WIP screenshot of XF382, currently preserved at the Midland Air Museum in the colours of No. 234 Squadron as part of No. 1 Tactical Weapons Unit at RAF Brawdy in the mid-1980's. Although an F6A I've used the FGA9 model file because the aircraft carries a drag chute housing over the tail pipe.

If you go to the Hunter FGA9 texture folder, copy the existing Gauges_LM file and name it something else. Then copy and paste the Gauges_LM file from the 'red lights' folder in the original zip file into the 'texture' folder and over-write the original. Now go fly at night. The instrument lights are now red not white -cooool!! :cool:

Very odd. No impact on frames for me. I assume you installed as per usual and per the read me?

Have you tired re-installing just the Mk9 version? I installed that one first and flew then added the "extras" package.

Nice repaint :applause: The panel should be accurate for that, as that's the aircraft is was modelled from.

BTW, the 2-seaters are undergoing conversion as we speak. Exterior is about done, just needs paint jobs, the VC has only just been started, but it shouldn't take too long.
