Hello friends,
I want to modify the VC of an helicopter which almost has a VC.
But using fsps to make my panels I cannot see the bmp used for the vc
(on the Abacus Huey it was possible) on this one the used texture are "texture=$dashRH.bmp"
and "texture=$dashLH.bmp" but I find them nowhere.
So if some one can point me to a good tuto (if in german or french that would be the hit)
I would be very glad with the hope to understand to resolve my problem
Best regards

Hi Michael,
When you say fsps, you do mean FSDS? If so, in the Help tab, search for virtual cockpit. Louis did a small tutorial of how to make a basic VC and panel. I don't think FSDS was ever produced in any other languages, but I'm sure if you go onto the French or German FS site forums, someone may have done a tutorial in that language.

Simply, just take a $pan tex from one of my ac $pan or whatever I've named it. All it is, is a small blank 256 x 256 bmp, with the .bmp extension taken off, so $pan.bmp becomes $pan etc. TBH you don't need the panel texture, as the panel material is transparent anyway. I usually put it in though.

I think he might mean FS Panel Studio?

Hallo friends,
yes I meant FS Panel Studio,
and I never had a tuto or manual for it.
It seems to me that once I saw here on the site that someone has done a tuto
how to make VC' s.
That is what I search for.
What I want to do is to replace the gauges in the original VC.
But when in FSPS I look at the VC, there are no texture just the gauges on a black background.
On some other ac's there is a background as it is mentionned in the panel.cfg
here there is no file indicated.
Best regards

Righto!...

The reason why it's black is that panel material is transparent, so no texture required, and therefore shows up as black.

That has nothing to do with the gauges, so just forget about it and get on and change the gauges.
