SSW F-104G radar ground mapping mode doesn't work (FSX:SE)

hi,does anyone by chance know how to get this working ? I installed the aircraft, textures and VACMI plus VACMI objects. Everything works great , except the radar shows nothing. RedPanda is running too.And the .ini file is configured for VACMI not TACPAC. The radar even sweeps visibly in GMT or AA modes, but it doesn't show any ground returns at all in ground mapping mode, just the beam sweeping. From youtube videos it seem, like it should actually show ground contours , even in FSX.Im running out of ideas.. :(Thanks a lot in advance,RegardsFlapsfull

Flapsfull, I seem to recall there are radar terrain files that have to be installed in order for the ground returns to show. I think SSW divided those up into a handful of regions where the 104G and 104S operated. Without them (or outside of their regions) I think you would just get a blank scope. You might try this url via the Wayback Machine:

Hi Chris,

thank you very much for your reply. I made some progress with adding the map files .Still not completely there, but at least the radar is now showing something more.
I 'll try to figure it out how to get the full picture. Thanks again for chiming in!
