It looks like my Creative Labs sound card died, but before determining that, I checked through onboard software and also uninstalled all CL audio drivers, then reinstalled everything. No Joy.

One 'side effect' I note is when I open FS9 (Win XP) I get only ONE frame per second instead of the 30+ I usually get. Any ideas why? I'd like to get this straightened out before Thursday when the new card gets here so I won't be chasing my tail.

Any and all suggestions/advice are eagerly accepted.

Thanks in advance for the assist.

Bob

Is the device still listed in your Device Manager? Reason I ask, my Dad picked up a virus that went in and replaced all of the drivers for the sound device, it attempted to do the same for the video card as well. I had to manually delete these bogus drivers and after extensive virus checks and spyware checks I was able to reinstall the audio cards sound drivers.

Thanks, Gdavis101, that did the trick. I now have normal frames and FS9 works properly. Still without sound, but that'll be remedied Thursday.
