I have been with MSFS since FS5, and for the first time I have a repaint request. In the fantastic Classics Hangar FW-190 early variants package we have the Arnim Faber 190a3 that was in british markings. I have seen pictures of a model that was undergoing testing by the US Navy, and was painted in a 3 tone navy scheme with american markings.

With the releases of some very impressive aircraft lately i have also seen a plethora of top notch paints for them as well, So I ask to the talent out here, is this feasible? I have a book with a few pictures in it, i can try transferring them and posting here. I Thank you in advance for your help.

Deimos, I think to remember that the plane you are talking of was an A-6 version. If you can supply us with some info, that livery will be surely included in the A-5 and following types release.
Could you please send me a PM?
Thanks

Deimos, I am very sorry, I thought you meant doing a repaint yourself. :caked:

Yes, that is entirely possible, albeit, I do not have that particular payware package yet. Most all payware now comes with a layered Paint Kit or a link to where one may be found in a separate download.

I do want that, but being on a limited income, that will have to shelve at least another month for me. However, I am sure someone with the talents of jankees or Huub Vink could fill that bill.

BTW, I found this profile of a capture FW-190 that was grounded. It would be a nice paint though.

Sorry i have been away all weekend and my iphone doesnt like me posting on this forum for some reason haha, ill have to dig up the book for pictures but it is in fact an A5 model, and theres two different paint schemes, one being a "hellcat scheme" and the other looks white or some light color with alternating stripes on the rudder, white and red i presume.

found this in one of the forums
As strange as it seems, the US Navy had an FW 190 (Right now I can't recall the exact version but believe it was an A-6 - ah, the wonders of growing old) that was flown out of Pax River with three different color schemes:

A. Origional German camo scheme

B. USN tricolor scheme (Sea Blue/Intermediate Blue/White

C. Red/White/Blue

The schemes are fairly well documented with pics of the aircraft in flight and on the ground in each scheme - I've still got a 190 kit on the shelf that is reserved for the tri-color scheme.

wish we had those for the A2A FW-190, too... not having FSX, that is the FW-190 I choose to use...
