While experimenting, I discovered that the shj_barge damage boxes are about twice the size of the model!!
The original damage boxes are 100m long x 20m wide x 7.5m above the water, giving an easy target and explaining why damage effects seemed to be well above and astern of the barge.

The barge is actually about 35m long x 6m wide x 2.5m above the water.

this .dp below should be much better aligned with the visual model;

and hopefully, this (below) should be an improvement for the shj_torpedo_boat.dp file
The original has damage boxes that are a fair bit larger (mostly higher) and so a bit too easy to hit, so I've tidied the box dimensions up, but also I noticed that things didn't match up between the systems and gunstations. There was a 25mm defined as a 5", and then an extra 25mm chucked in to the systems names, but not given a system number, and the 25mm in the gunstation was given a system tag that didn't exist.

That plus the greater detail provided by today's computers is why I've replaced as many of my ships as possible with newer versions by stuart277, Maxstuka, Collin et al.

Hi RWILLs
I like the 3D renditions of the .dp boxes over the ship profiles.
With dp editor I only get the boxes.
This means that my .dp files are only guessed using GMax co-ordinates.

At the moment I can only overlay the boxes onto the model if modelconverterX can read the .mdl file and export it as an .obj file, which I can then open with Rhino(v6). Rhino can then import the text file of the x,y,z values from the .dp file. I'm still trying to find a way to persuade Gmax to export into something that I can open with Rhino, which it should be able to do. Otherwise to check the dp boxes I have to place guns at the corners of the boxes and watch the tracer as they fire at me to see how they line up. The F1M2 "Pete" was just about invincible until I realised that IT'S dp boxes were nowhere near where I was aiming!!
