It has been 55 years since the number 43 car, owned by Richard Petty, has seen victory lane at Darlington. In a surprise finish, involving the engine in Kyle Busch's number 18 blowing up on a caution lap, Erik Jones took the lead and held on for the win. Evidently Richard Petty was not present for the win, he Tweeted his congratulations to Erik.
