Good morning,

I wanted to ask our Canadian friends about Nova Scotia recommendations. I am planning a four-day excursion there in late July, and want to explore the Bay of Fundy coastline. My wife and I plan on taking the ferry over on Friday, July 22nd, and returning to Maine on Monday, the 25th. Any recommendations about must-sees, especially parks where we can stand on the sea floor? Good restaurants? We'll have our own car and would like to spend Friday night in Yarmouth and Saturday night possibly in Halifax.

I don't think we'll have time to get over to New Brunswick...

Thanks in advance

Burntcoat Head is a 90 minute drive from Halifax, I think that's your best bet for the "full" tidal experience. It cycles every 6 hours or so, so pack a lunch or make sure there is somewhere to eat if you plan to see it at it's lowest and highest points. There are tide schedules you can find online, just know it can get quite busy during the summer months at peak hours. It's a pretty incredible experience so have fun!

I don't have specific food recommendations but there is great food everywhere, don't be afraid to stop in small towns and grab breakfast at a diner and then check out the local museums/harbors/tall ships/lighthouses etc. Lots of history up there!
