Hallo friends,
the readme of the Alphasim says that the weapons can be droped via the tailhook key
I have put a switch with this function in the 2D panel, but no reactions
even the t (tailhook) on he keboard shows no reaction.
The only way to drop the weapons is via a big lever at the top of the cabin in the VC
Is this bug known?
is there a solution to drop the weapons via a switch or lever to add in the 2D panel?

Papi

Hallo friends,
in the previous article I forgot to say that on the He-111 H-3 model the bomb bay doors open and close perfectly

Hallo friends, hallo Huub,
as the tailhook key is operational on the H-3 model, and that the weapons can be dropped via the VC,
I do believe that it might be a bug in the other (than the H-3) model files.
Perhaps one of our friends who has eperience in aircraft design can have a look on it.
I think that the Alphasim He 111 is still the best existing He 111 for FS2004.
I tried to contact Alphasim/Virtavia but got no response

Hallo,
it would be nice to get the problems of the weapons drop to be solved,
to use with my new cockpit

Hallo friends,
really I must say to be disapointed that no one other than Huun seem to be interested in this plane and her problems.
Would it be other If the plane would be a Blenheim, Wellington or B-25?
On my opinion the Alphasim/Virtavia He-111 is the best avaible for FS2004.
Or are there better ones?

I have it, it's a nice model but I don't think we can solve that, Fs9 was not made to drop bombs !

Hallo Vinci
of course not to drop with effects as in cfs nore than in FSX:
here what says the original readme:

INSTALLATION GUIDE - He111H for FS9 - version 1.0

Extract all the files into your FS9 root folder. The necessary sub-folders will be created automatically.

ANIMATIONS

open / close canopy - shift-e
open / close dorsal gunner canopy - shift-e+2 (2nd Exit command)
toggle pilots on/off - shift-W (water rudder command)
bomb bay - T (tailhook) H3 model only
drop weapons - T (tailhook)
oil cooler flaps - Cowl Flaps command (ctrl/shift-C and ctrl/shift-V)

but this does not operate
but when you use a lever in the vc the bombs/torpedoes drops/goes away
om the H-3 the bomb bay doors are operational with the T (tailhook key)
So I hoped that the design experts could find out the bug as Virtavia seems no longer interested to answer to questions

Nevertheless I have several models which have an animated bomb drop. The Alphasim has one as well however it doesn't work as described in the documentation.

In my readme which is by Virtavia I have:

ANIMATIONS

open / close canopy - shift-e
open / close dorsal gunner canopy - shift-e+2 (2nd Exit command)
toggle pilots on/off - shift-W (water rudder command)
bomb bay - T (tailhook) H3 model only
drop weapons - use red lever in top right side of v-c
oil cooler flaps - Cowl Flaps command (ctrl/shift-C and ctrl/shift-V)

Hello Papi;

Done a bit of detective work looks like the drop weapons command is written into the animation of the lever in that particular model (the H3);

So basically, unless you are in the H3 VC panel view and pull the lever; it (Drop Weapons command) won't work.

Any change to this can only be made if you have source code to the model I would think.

There is possibility that the drop tanks simulator command has been used D / SHIFT+ D

Hope this helps

The red handle also releases the bobs on the H-6 models, however in the Alphasim readme is stated that this should be done by the "tailhook" command, But this doesn't work. The "drop" command doesn't work as well.
What I understand from Vinci that is stated correctly in the Virtavia readme. The red handle drops the bombs and nothing else.

So Papi's question is more or less answered. The handle is not linked to a command, but is a hard coded animation hidden in the model.

Yep, that was basically my deduction too Huub,
Can't do anything in 2D panel, you would need original model source code.

H-3 model has only bomb bay doors opened via tailhook command. There are no bombs in bomb bay and this is reason why red lever not work.
I made several additional models ( not for Alphasim) with bombs animated, it work ok in windows XP but it animation is too quick for windows 10.

I quite like the Groundcrew design group one originally made for CFS2 ; you can find it here--->

and the fs2004 update here--->

extra skins here----> http://www.mrjmaint.com/RegsHanger/Groundcrew/homepage/CFS2/skins/Ground%20Crew%20Design%20CFS2%20Skins.php

and its free too!

Hi Pete,
off course I have the groundcrew He 111 with the update.
What I find somewhat interesting is the possibility of dammaged skins.
At first I started my panel work with this aircraft but i prefer to say it in german , "dat ding fliegt wie nen klavier, aber ein verstimmtes !"
Lol I say in german in hope to escape censoring LOL
So I switched over to the Alphasim He 111, I clearly prefer the behaviour after some little corrections
I still work on some gauges than I will publish my panel for the bird. Sad that the drop problem can not be solved via a switch on the 2D panel

Krzysztof,

Thanks for your clarification and good to see you are still around. And of course thanks for all the great model you gave us.
