Quicksand,
Thanks for posting. Some real odd ball oddities! My favorite is the photo showing Howard Hughes standing on the scaffolding next to his D-2 experimental fighter. I think this was the aircraft he crashed while test flying and serverly injured himself. While in the hospital recuperating,....he developed a fondness for pain killers.

Glad you all liked it. I thought I was pretty sharp when it came to identifying aircraft, but there were several in those photos I never knew existed....

I found it. Took me a while to figure out how to find the download link due to a foreign site.

Quite a few A/C I haven't seen before also. I went to the web page listed on one of the photo credits for W.T. Larkins
1000 aircraft photos http://1000aircraftphotos.com/index.html I think a few days worth of photos there.

My pleasure Quicksand. The dang site keeps going round and round in loops. I see another familiar float plane but I can't find the link to download it. telecharger = download?......right?? Pretty sure it does. I'll keep trying. http://img.jeuxvideopc.com/images/downloads/1360/apercu/1.jpg

Can anyone else manage to download the little float plane at the link? Or tell me what it is, or where I can find it......lol..sheesus http://www.jeuxvideopc.com/downloads/7478-flight-simulator-2004-un-siecle-d-aviation/33-avions-civils/1360-hydravion-blanc.php

Great link, QS (thanks, sis).
Isn't it amazing how much stuff went on especially in the '50's?
And some really outside-the-square projects you've never heard of, like the
BEECHCRAFT XA-38 GRIZZLY
Wait a minute...we"ve heard of that one...
