A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Ships Add-Ons

Description: This small set of boats was made by Pat Sullivan (PSullykeys) about ten years ago for use in CFS2. I have simply “reflagged” them by changing their WW2 ensigns to ones appropriate for German vessels operating along the Belgian coast during the First World War.

Where necessary the model names have been changed to distinguish a vessel’s allegiance. This was only necessary where the original model was not specifically a German vessel.

These vessels have had their allegiance changed to [country.4], reflecting the addition of the German Naval Air Service in my altered country.cfg. This of course only makes sense for a World War One/ Western Front install of Combat Flight Simulator 2.

If your WWI install follows the Aerocrate country.cfg these boats can still be used by changing [country.4] from Japan to the German Naval Air Service. The text for this entry is in the accompanying “GNAS” note.
Sully has kindly given me permission to make the above changes to his original vessels. Many thanks Sully!
Simply add these to your SHIPS folder in your CFS2_WWI install.

Thanks,

Mike Lang (Ravenna)

Ravenna,

Thank you very much for uploading these, as well as your work on them. I wish Sully was still around CFS2, but it is nice to know he's still alive and kicking at least. I miss talking to him on Skype years back, he's good people. I hope he's doing well.

Rami,

When I heard from him earlier this year he was doing well. He seems to have produced lots of ships, but none for flight simulation. An interesting and intelligent individual, with a wicked sense of humour!

Ravenna,

I remember Sully fondly. Years back, Collin, myself, Sully, Talon, and others had many nights on Skype. Unfortunately, we had a falling out over another member here at SOH. Sully and I had an affinity for music, and I really miss talking to him. He was a good friend, and our senses of humor were similar.

But I also possess the ethnic heritage that makes it difficult to forgive and forget; maybe someday we’ll speak again. I’d love to tell him about what the Mayo Clinic has done for me; with his work background, he might find it fascinating.

For now, I’m just glad he’s doing well.
