I have not been able to find certain areas that control the color of the smaller areas (passenger step, pitot tube, ADF antenna, etc.). Do you have anything from the original model that shows the areas those colors come from?

Sorry for the delay... Real world and all that. Pitot tube is assigned to the chrome texture. (shares it with the spinner, tail wheel yoke and gear struts.) The step is on the Norse parts texture sheet. I cannot remember how it is mapped (I made the original model for fs 2002 nearly 18 years ago)

Hope this helps.

Are you using MCX or FS Repaint for your paint work? In MCX if you open the Material editor you can check "Highlight Selected" and the parts assigned to a particular texture with turn red.

Thanks Brian. I need to back up and just be less detailed in getting certain parts to be a certain color. It would really require that individual parts be textured rather than a swatch of color for multiple areas. As you said, it's 18years old. . .I'm just amazed at how well it has held up over time. You have an FS2000 model that looks great in P3D_V4.5 after all, lol

And the Norseman was, I think my second or third model... EVER!

If my computer could run anything more than P3d V 1.4 I'd try learning how to do the PBR textures. Maybe next year with my taxes I can swing a new PC.

Well Brian, given the success of the Norseman and Super Pacer. . .if you have any other gems from your past that you'd like to update. . .please feel free, lol. . .these are keepers!

The Volpar Tri-gear for instance? I'm retexturing the interior right now and then I'll move to the exterior. It's a nice looking airplane.

I might have something there.... I used that to learn the MCX conversion stuff. I haven't done anything with it in months. And only the tri gear

Back in the day it was you and Steven (I think that was his name!) who built all the original freeware bush planes for FS2000. Seems like yesterday!

Don BP;)
