Great movie. Need more Pathfinders and Intruders; and Night Fighters of course!:jump::biggrin-new:

That video was so good, never seen that before and was a nice break from work last night.

Nightfighters you say....

Roadmap for CFS3 Mosquito work:

B35 (Bulged Bay) - In progress.
FBVI - In progress.
BIV

Conversions from above (In no specific order):

MKII nightfighter.
Sea Mosquito.
TseTse

Out of all these main variants I'm sure we can cover the rest such as the pathfinders, photo recon etc.

That canopy/windscreen is one the most glaring omissions from the original CFS3, along with a B-25 gunsight.

That's the great thing about a lot of allied ac models, one fits all (with a few mods of course) ie the Sea Mossie will be an easy MkVI Intruder with ASV radar etc.

Look forward to some great Mossies Dave.

Cheers

Out of the darkness she starts to rise.

Just on with the canopy glass making sure the front piece is thicker.

I will be getting the elevators done this afternoon and then tomorrow will be spent getting the nacelles created followed by the props and spinners.

After this I will then be working on the more nitty gritty stuff, landing gear, cockpit and all the bits that protrude of the body work.

Once all modelling is done, external, then I will transfer to Gmax to start on animation and mapping whilst doing internal pit through Max.

Kind regards,

Dave

D'you have any plans on making the cockpit clickable?

I will be happy to do a clickable cockpit, although something I have never done so may need some direction when we get to that point.

Elevators done, leaving all the cutting out of rudder, flaps, ailerons and elevators till completed main model.

Not for long mate, starting on the nacelles now, hopefully all being well I'll have them done by tomorrow, lol.

And all because Dave loves the CFS3 community...

As you can see, I have only got half the nacelle done. Back half to do and then a lot of vertex level adjustments along the top of the wing... But that's tomorrows jobs so catch you all later.

Yeah it'll start looking much better once I start adding the features such as the exhaust stacks, props, rest of cockpit canopy (glass and screen wiper) and the biggies .303 Brownings and Hispano cannons.

Then once all the externals are completed you and Kev (NSS) will receive the prototypes to work some magic over with .XML files and textures. Whilst this is happening I will then be getting on with the internal pit and producing a worthy pit which it never got.

It's fascinating watching the modelling process, gives us modelling ignoramuses some look into this mysterious world. :applause:

With you saying the above I thought I would document a few moments of modelling the nacelle for your viewing.

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/attachment.php?attachmentid=77316&stc=1
01 - Hard to see because of Max shaded modelling but you can see when zoomed in that the vertex is some way from the surface of the wing and so it is a long laborious task sometimes of having to go in to this kind of level to get it sorted.... you could get away with this and most likely not see in the sim BUT it's, like others, not my way of working. I would much prefer to put that little extra time into trying to minimise everything I can that I find and in doing so create a model to the best of my skills and abilities.

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/attachment.php?attachmentid=77317&stc=1
02 - Here I am lining a vertex on the upper nacelle to a edge on the wing to enable a seamless match to the wing profile.

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/attachment.php?attachmentid=77318&stc=1
03 - Just another image like the first one in which you can see a gap between the wing and the nacelle. Bit of TLC and all is well.

So what's going on? Those involved with the upcoming TOW Pt II are mad keen to get some Mosquitos for Pathfinder, Oboe, LNSF, and Intruder squadrons. I know sds bolt and Bravo4 have done stuff on the available FB Mk VI, but we all are waiting, not for Godo, but DD Boynton!:wiggle::wavey:
